Originally one of the “Landmark” hotels of the classic Vegas age, today the remodelled Stardust fits in with all of its neighbours; in short it is large, flashy, and very pinky-redish. No Vegas casino would be complete without a theme, and the theme of the Stardust is “Havana Nights”, but if you look a little harder you will find that the real theme of the casino is “Las Vegas”
Not this isn’t to say that the Stardust isn’t a first class place to hang out; on the contrary, it is on par with its excellent bars, clubs, gaming floor, rooms, and everything else that is the trade of this city of cities. The Stardust though has everything a strictly Vegas casino should have… take for instance the entertainment. If you want to have the “classic Vegas entertainment experience” then you might have to go to Freemont Street. But at the Stardust you can see classic Vegas acts like Don Rickles and Wayne Newton with all the amenities of a titanic Strip hotel. While some people may want to head over to The Mandalay Bay so that they can take the kids to see the sharks, the real movers, shakers, and high rollers are headed to The Stardust to hang out with the gaming crowd.

Another excellent thing about The Stardust is the fact that it is exactly what is says… a hotel and casino. It’s classic vintage Vegas sign says it all; here you will be able to gamble the night away and not have someone say, “Would you like to try out one of our miniature NASCAR?” No one will say “sir, there’s an elephant over there that’s just begging for you to get on its back”. There are no yodeling gondoliers or exploding volcanoes. At the Stardust you won’t be interrupted in the middle of a dice throw when the in house roller coaster comes screaming (and I do mean screaming) thought the casino floor. The Stardust is complete… just Wayne, Don, and a blackjack dealer wanting to know if you want another card.
